The idea for these flavored vinegars began in California in 1997 while I was on a trip through the Napa Valley and attending the Culinary Institute. I visited many vineyards and stores, sampling all of the wonderful gourmet foods they provided, including vinegars. I was amazed with what I found, as I was introduced to a number of amazing tastes that continue to influence me to this day. Determined to bring the wonderful flavors I experienced in Napa Valley to the Midwest, I began to experiment with different flavor combinations in my own vinegars. |
My drive to gain as much knowledge as I could about foods, flavors and creating delicious, low calorie foods along with the enthusiastic responses I got from family and friends who tried my flavored vinegars, was the inspiration for starting Good Spirit Foods.
